[2026 ATP 250 Fayez Sarofim Men's tennis] With Yesterday being the seventh day of the 2026 ATP 250 Fayez Sarofim & Co U.S. Men’s Clay Court Tennis Championship, the first match of the day was between Learner Tien(USA) and Roman Andres Burruchaga (ARG) While both players played a fierce match, the winner be Roman Andres Burruchaga who scored a server rating of 292, with zero aces, and two double faults. His first serve stood at 445/65(69%) with a return rating of 189. Learner Tien acquired a serve rating of 246, with no aces, and three double faults. His return rating was 109 with a first serve that stood at 41/67(61%). Learner Tien also acquired 8/12(67%) when it came to net points won, with 17 winners, and 36 unforced errors. Roman Andres Burruchaga scored 6/7(86%), with 17 winners, and 24 unforced errors. He also obtained 45/65(69%), with a return points won of 28/67(42%), and ended the match with 73/132(55%) for total points won.
In one of the biggest matches of the championship, it would be Thiago Agustin Tirante (ARG) that would defeat Ben Shelton (USA) 6-6-6 to 7-3-4. While Ben Shelton appeared to have suffered from a minor injury during the course of the match, he was still able to deliver a stunning performance. For this match Thiago Agustin Tirante obtained a serve rating of 307, with eight aces, and three double faults. His first serve registered at 59/95(62%) with a return rating of 137. Ben Shelton had a serve rating of 301, with eight aces, and one double fault. His return rating was 56 and his first serve stood at 56/82(58%). Thiago Agustin Tirante had 10/14(71%) in net points won, with 32 winners, and 21 unforced errors. Looking at service, return, and total points won Thiago Agustin Tirante stood at 72/95(76%), 19/82 23%), and 91/177(51%) respectively. Ben Shelton had 9/12(75%), with 36 winners, and 34 unforced errors. Looking at his service, return, and total points won, he stood at 63/82(77%), 23/95(24%), and 86/177(49%).

While Tomas Martin Etcheverry played a good match against Tommy Paul, it was predicted by many attendees of this year's event that Tommy Paul would win this match. Tomas Martin Etcheverry had a serve rating of 233, with three aces, and two double faults. His first serve registered at 38/60(63%) with a return rating of 65. The final match of the night was a high intensity match that consisted of Frances Tiafoe defeating Alexi Popyrin 3-6-7 to 6-4-6. It should be noted that Frances Tiafoe is no stranger to working his way to the quarterfinals and semifinals as he has done so for several years in a row, the question that’s on everyone's minds is can he finally win this year. Looking at Alexi Popyrin, he was able to earn a serve rating of 295, with 17 aces, and five double faults. He also had a first serve of 51/95(54%) and a return rating of 91. Frances Tiafoe secured a serve rating of 291, falling four points behind Alexi Popyrin. He also obtained three aces again, falling behind Alexei Popyrin by 14 points and he also had four double faults. Frances Tiafoe's first serve stood at 58/102(57%) and he had a return rating of 88 again falling behind Alexi Popyrin by three points.
Looking at the point stats, Alexi Popyrin earned 13/16(81%) in net points won, with 55 winners, and 51 unforced errors. France Tiafoe in contrast scored 11/17(65%), with 25 winners, and 17 unforced errors. When it came to service points Alexi Popyrin was able to secure 69/95(73%), with 29/102(28%), and 98/197(50%) in total points won. France Tiafoe closed out the match earning 73/102(72%), 26/95(27%) in return points won, and 99/197(50%) for total points won. It should be noted that by all accounts that statistically France Tiafoe won this match by the skin of his teeth and that if Alexi Popyrin would have attacked stronger in the first and second rounds, he would have defeated France Tiafoe.
