[2026 Bruce Bolt College Classic University of Texas Ohio State] The second game of the last day of the 2026 Bruce Bolt College Classic was a game that left many Ohio State fans in shock and awe as Ohio State was crushed by the University of Texas on the field. While the first and second inning ran “dry” due to neither team being able to secure a run, the dry streak was completely broken at the top of the third inning when the University of Texas scored an eye opening seven run over Ohio state. While Ohio State didn’t give up, many fans saw that it was easy to see that a significant amount of morale was lost by the team.

While there were no runs scored in the fourth inning, it wouldn’t be until the bottom of the fifth inning that Ohio State would score its first run of the game. Although Ohio State consistently scored one run in the sixth and seventh inning, it simply was not enough to counter the onslaught that the University of Texas subjected them to on the field as the University of Texas scored another two runs at the top of the seventh: then another run in the eighth inning of the game. No runs were scored by either team in the ninth inning.

It should be noted that a heated exchange occurred on the field that almost led to players becoming physical. The final score of the game resulted in the University of Texas scoring a total of 10 runs to Ohio State's three. Again, Ohio State did their best, but their best simply wasn’t good enough for this game.
