We can understand that many women reading this article might feel offended. However, that is not the purpose of this entry. The trend that we're seeing in America stems not from the trend of people embracing “body positivity”, which is an idea that is questionable in itself because it's so highly subjective. But the social issue that we’re shedding light on is the fact that America seems to not have or has failed to establish and enforce beauty standards when it comes to its women.

Keep in mind that standards of any kind are social tools that hold people accountable. In an era where people have a fear of getting “canceled” and/or have developed the fear of rightfully criticizing someone for the sake of social backlash, the lack of setting beauty standards on women in America has wreaked havoc on the social fabric that holds America together. For so many people, it just feels like the notion of beauty has become somewhat of a free-for-all when it comes to American society as a collective. This is because it's nearly impossible to place and enforce beauty standards on its women.

From women in America either weighing just as much or significantly outweighing their men of their same height, to most of the women of America appearing to be “fashionably challenged”, and then there is the overdependence and the over-glorification of cheaply manufactured Fast Fashion. If that's not enough; there's also the overly done makeup with ridiculous eyelashes and clownish eyebrows; it's enough to make people in other countries look for the nearest exit when American women come around.

With that being said, we think that America needs to set and enforce beauty standards when it comes to American women. The idea that women in America should be able to wear whatever they want, wherever they want, and however they want to wear something should be challenged. Furthermore, for women who fail to recognize and adhere to socially established beauty standards should be heavily socially sanctioned and in some cases outright shunned.

Believe it or not, weight management should be a number one priority for American women. In fact, it can be said that a woman being overweight is one of the primary factors as to why so many women in America find themselves ineligible for marriage. Simply put, American women are just too god damn big. Adding insult to injury, American women seem to think that beauty standards are either outdated, repressive, or simply don't apply to them. This is especially true among Black American women.

Women should not only weigh significantly less than men of the same height and age. But they should strive to stray away from excessive tattoos and piercings. Also women should seek to dress not only more feminine, but they should turn a cheek to dressing provocatively. Also, grown women should not be wearing braided hairstyles, this especially applies to Black American women. With that being said, we understand that “natural hairstyles” are popular and that's ok. However, our advice to Black American women who partake in wearing their natural hair, please keep it neat and presentable. Everyone doesn't look good with dreadlocks and afros.

Additionally, women shouldn't wear excessive makeup as stated before. Your makeup should not be “caked on'' and stay away from wearing unnatural hair colors; it makes you look like a 90’s drag queen. Also women should not be cutting their hair for the exception of trimming. Men desire something other than themselves. Generally speaking, a woman's hair is what makes her feminine and for a woman to cut it off trying to chase a fashion trend is akin to her throwing her femininity out of the window.

When it comes to tattoos, many people don't see the harm in them. However, when it comes to women and tattoos, nothing screams masculine like a woman with tattoos all over her body in an evening gown. Not only is it distracting, it's grotesque, and it reduces a woman's value on the sexual marketplace. The same goes with excessive piercings. Lastly, a woman's attitude plays a vital role in how beautiful she is. An inspiring and graceful attitude is what women of quality should strive to have. It should be a soothing pleasure to be around you. Beauty standards exist for a reason and the international community understands this. We think it's time women in America get on board.
