[dead Houston bayou] The deceased body of Jade McKissic, a 20-year-old student, was recently discovered on September 15th in Brays Bayou in Houston, Texas. Since this discovery, there have been 6 more additional bodies found in various bayous within the City of Houston in two weeks, bringing the total number of bodies found this year to 14. With the ongoing investigations taking place, both the families of the deceased and Houstonians are seeking answers. While many Houston residents are speculating that a serial killer may be on the loose, Houston Mayor John Whitmire along with the Houston police department stated to Press that there isn’t a serial killer on the streets of Houston and that there’s no connection between the victims.
Analyzing the five most recent cases with the information that has been made public, all the locations of the deceased are within a 20-mile radius of each other. It should also be understood that the White Oak Bayou has a natural connection to the Buffalo Bayou. The bodies were found within five days of each other, the first two being found September 15th and the fifth on September 20th. To date, there hasn’t been any information released on the appearance or condition of the bodies of the deceased victims. According to law enforcement, it is suspected that at least two of the causes of deaths were due to suicide. The Houston Police Department has not ruled out the possibility of accidental death.
