HOUSTON DYNAMO FEEL THE BURN AGAINST CINCINNATI FC 2-2

[HOUSTON DYNAMO CINCINNATI FC] Tonight's match between the Houston Dynamo and Cincinnati FC started off as a must watch as both Houston Dynamo fans and players from both teams electrified the nearly fully packed stadium. Within the first ten minutes the Houston Dynamo had a great opening but failed to secure a goal. However, the big chance that the Houston Dynamo had was quickly followed with Cincinnati taking advantage of a great opportunity to cash in on their big chance, but like the Houston Dynamo, they were unable to score a goal at the top of the first half.
Both the Houston Dynamo and the Cincinnati FC are demonstrating great ball movement on the pitch with Cincinnati having a slight lead ahead of the Dynamo in terms of ball possession, passing, and pass accuracy. It should be noted that Cincinnati right Midfielder Ender Echenique (#66) has been showing not only great ball movement, but excellent crossover skills throughout the first half of the match. If there was an award for "great ball movement”, it would go to Cincinnati FC for their outstanding performance in the first half.
It would be at the 35’ minute mark of the match that Cincinnati committed a foul which led to Houston Dynamo Striker Guilherme (#20) scoring the first goal of the match at the 37’ minute of the match off a free kick putting the Dynamo ahead of Cincinnati 1-0. This would be Guilherme's 13th goal of the season. The first half wraps up at the 46’ minute. The key stats of the first half resulted in the Houston Dynamo taking three shots with one shot on target. The Houston Dynamo possessed the ball 40% of the time and passed the ball 208 times with an 88% pass accuracy rate.
Cincinnati in contrast took a total of six shots, with one of those shots landing on target. They also possessed the ball 60% of the time and executed 266 passes with a pass accuracy rate of 92%. Cincinnati FC also committed seven fouls while the Dynamo committed five fouls. Neither team was issued any yellow or red card as the match was played very clean on behalf of both teams. Cincinnati, desperately attempting to score a goal, was denied by dynamo goalie Jonathan Bond (#31) several times throughout the second half. For the Houston Dynamo, the second half appeared to be played in a manner not to necessarily score another goal, but to prevent Cincinnati FC from scoring any goal whatsoever. But those plans were dashed when Cincinnati Striker Bryan Ramírez scored their first goal at the 72’ minute of the match.

In contrast, Cincinnati FC took a total of 21 shots with eight of those 21 shots landing on target. When it came to ball possession Cincinnati led the Houston Dynamo by possessing the ball 55% of the time while the Dynamo possessed the ball 45% of the time. Houston Dynamo executed 412 passes with a pass accuracy rate of 88%. Cincinnati executed 569 passes with a pass accuracy rate of 93%.
The Houston Dynamo racked up six fouls and three corners while Cincinnati FC committed 12 fouls, were called for being offsides twice, and took a total of seven corners. The match ended with neither team obtaining a yellow or red card and a final score of 2-2.
