January 17th is the date that Russia and Iran will “seal the deal” in terms of what they call a “Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement “. The signing of the deal comes on the heels of the Russia/North Korean military assistance deal that was signed in June of 2024 which solidifies the relationship between the militaries of Russia and North Korea. The meeting between the two world leaders will be held in Moscow this Friday. According to the Kremlin, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will be negotiating how they can both navigate how they can deepen their cooperative ties in terms of “trade, investment, transport, logistics, humanitarian sphere, and current issues on the regional and international agenda”.
With Iran being the breadbasket of the Muslim world, an increase in trading with Russia means that Iran will have access to not only goods, products, and services, but they will also obtain access to scientific and military technologies as well. For Iran, they will greatly benefit from Russian aerospace technologies in the form of fighter jets, long range missile defense, and other military hardware. This strategic partnership between the two counties comes at a time when Israel is threatening to attack Iranian nuclear facilities. Economically, Russia stands to benefit in terms of shipping and trade. Historically Russia has exported more goods to Iran than Iran has to Russia. But that’s due to the sanctions that America and the Collective West has imparted onto Iran. This resulted in stifling Iran's economic growth.
Russia stands to gain both a military partner and long-term ally in the region in addition to agriculture trade from Iran. It seems that what we have deemed as “The League of Six” is coming together as predicted in an article entitled: “League of Six Start of The New World Order”. In that article we highlighted our prediction that Russia, China, North Korea, Iran, the Sahel Alliance and Lebanon will form the strongest eastern strategic partnership the world has seen in a very long time.
