SHEBA ROY & HOUSTON’S ACRES HOMES COMMUNITY PRESENTS JUNETEENTH FARM-TO-TABLE BRUNCH

[Juneteenth Sheba Roy Houston Acres Homes] In spirit of Juneteenth, on June 18th, the Acres Homes community which is located in Houston Texas will be celebrating the holiday by pushing Black American farmers to the forefront of the community through a “Juneteenth Farm-to-Table Brunch”. Acres Homes, like many Black American communities and communities of color within the United States appear to be plagued by “Food Deserts”. Sociologists define Food Deserts as “Low-income, marginalized neighborhoods where residents lack physical and economic access to affordable, nutritious food.” Food items such as fresh fruits and vegetables as well as other forms of produce are also included in this definition.

Community Activist, Owner of Creative AF MUZE Marketing & Management, and VEDA World News Correspondent Sheba Roy has provided a Press Release from the Acres Home Chamber for Business and Economic Development.
