TEXAS DRIVERS & THE NEED FOR RETAKING DEFENSIVE DRIVING COURSES

A serious collision occurred in the early hours this morning on the northeast side of Houston. Two cars collided when one of the drivers failed to yield to the other at a cross-section. Accidents today are becoming more and more common amongst drivers. In fact, to date there have been over 3,300 deaths on Texas roads so far. As a point of reference there were over 9,500 deaths in 2022 on Texas roads all due to car collisions alone.

Please keep in mind that distracted driving is still very much an issue in this country. Please stay off your cell phones while driving. Moreover, if you or someone you know are driving under the influence of any drugs and or alcohol you have a social responsibility to stop them from driving.

Keep in mind that there are a lot of uninsured motorists out there, some of which will not hesitate to flee the scene of a car collision not only in Texas but across the United States. Make sure that you stay abreast of all defensive driving techniques and feel free to take a refresher course if you feel the need to. In addition, if you wear glasses and or contacts, please be sure to wear them while you're driving, especially during the evening and at night. This car collusion may have been prevented if defensive driving techniques had been deployed.

We at VEDA Magazine sincerely hope that both parties were not seriously injured, and speedy recoveries will occur.
