[Chef Latoya Larkin 2025 Texas Restaurant Show] When it comes to Texas cuisine, the first name that should come to mind is Chef Latoya Larkin Creator and Owner of Black Girl Tamales. On July 21st, Chef Larkin will be providing live culinary instruction at the annual Texas Restaurant Show at the George R. Brown Convention Center at 2pm. What menu items will she be teaching the public to make at home? Well, that’s going to be a surprise for now. But surprise or not, the one thing that we do know is that you don’t want to miss the opportunity to see what Chef Larkin has in store for the attending audience. This year's Texas Restaurant Show will feature over 5,500 attendees and 500 exhibitors but only one Chef Latoya Larkin.
Chef LaToya Larkin is a classically trained Culinary Chef and has taught Culinary Arts for the Houston Independent School District for over 20 years as well as providing her services as a private chef for over a decade. Now that she’s retired from HISD, she’s taking the time out to continue her quest to provide culinary education to the public as well as release several of her products in major grocery chains like Walmart. From the basics of Culinary 101 which covers cleaning, sanitation and best food handling practices, to safe knife handling skills, to soups and sauces, to intermediate and advanced culinary baking and cooking techniques, Chef LaToya Larkin covers it all. The only thing you have to do is show up, take notes, and ask questions.
The annual Texas Restaurant Show will take place from July 20 through July 27th and will feature the best restaurants and chefs from all around the state of Texas. This is an event you simply don’t want to miss – and you most certainly don’t want to miss Chef Latoya Larkin as she educates the public through live demonstrations either. The annual Texas Restaurant Show will be held at the George R. Brown Convention Center for one week starting on July 20th and tickets start at [cost]. See you there.
