[2026 117TH ANNUAL NAACP CONVENTION CHICAGO MCCORMICK PLACE] The 117^th Annual NAACP Convention which started on Wednesday July 15 is set to continue until Wednesday July 22^nd. This year's event is set to take place at Chicago’s McCormick place. This year's annual NAACP Convention will not only address the huge strides and progress made within both the black and brown communities across America, but it will also shed light on the socio-economic impact of the systematic dwindling power of black voters within America. Besides the annual NAACP Award Show which highlights the achievements of black and brown Americans, this year's event will push the voices of black and brown thought leaders to the forefront.

Artist, Speakers, television personalities, and politicians such as Da Brat, G Herbo, Nina Parker, Billy Porter, Michael Rainey Jr., Kenny Lattimore, Morris Chestnut, Don Scott, Arthur Ellis, Elliot Williams, Fred Hampton jr., Congressman Johnathan Jackson, NAACP President Derrick Johnson, Senator Raumesh Akbari, Minnesota Attorney General  Keith Ellison, and American Idol’s We Ani are just some of the high profile personalities that will be not only attending but taking to the stage during this year's NAACP Convention.

While each day of this year's convention features various breakout sessions, speakers, youth and teen activities, and giveaways; the NAACP is also shedding light on what's happening in the realm of S.T.E.M. (Science Technology Engineering & Mathematics). This year's event also appears to be a great place for both businesses and people to network so that they may have the chance to expand both their network and their net worth. Other industries such as chemistry, music, art, entertainment, communications, cooking and hospitality, as well as architecture will be represented at this year's convention as well.
