[ATP 250 Fayez Sarofim & Co U.S. Men’s Clay Court Championship 2026] With the second day of the ATP 250 Fayez Sarofim & Co U.S. Men’s Clay Court Championship happening at the prestigious River Oaks Country Club located in Houston Texas, the first match of the day starts off with the united kingdom’s own Jack Pinnington Jones facing off against the young American Darwin Blanch. Although young with not only shorter playing time, but with a smaller pool of winnings when compared to his opponent Jack Pinnington Jones, Darwin Black played an outstanding match as he was defeated by the more seasoned Jack Pinnington Jones.

 

Looking at the service stats, it was Jack Pinnington Jones that led in all metrics with the exception of when it came to the first serve which he stood at 61% to Darwin Blanch’s 65%, a mere 4% difference. Jack Pinnington Jones had a serve rating of 246, with 3 aces, and 9 double faults. In terms of first and second serve points he stood at 32/46 (47%) and 14/30 (47%) respectively. When it came to break points saved, he earned 5/8 (63%) and in terms of service games played he also stood at 11 as well. In contrast, Darwin Blanch has a service rating of 228, with one ace. When it came to first and second service points, he earned 33/54 (61%) and 11/29 (50%). He tied with Jack Pinnington Jones with 11 games played.

On the return, Jack Pinnington Jones had a return rating of 187. On the first and second serve return points won he scored a 21/54 (39%) and an 18/29 (62%). His opponent Darwin Blanch had obtained a return rating of 149. When it came to his first and second serve return points won he acquired 14/46 (30%) and 16/30 (53%). He also scored 3/8 (38%) when it came to break points converted.

 

When it came to point stats, Darwin Blanch earned a 5/10 in net points earned which puts him at 50% when compared to Jack Pennington Jones who earned a 2/6 (33%) in net points earned. Jack Pinnington Jones also had 17 winners, 30 unforced errors to Darwin Blanch’s 19 winners and 45 unforced errors. Looking at the service, return, and total points of both players, the clear winner was Jack Pinnington Jones who earned 46/76 (61%), 39/83(47%), and 85/159 (47%), and 85/159 (53%) respectively. Darwin Blanch had 5/10(50%) net points earned, 19 winners, and 45 unforced errors. He also earned 44/83(53%) when it came to service points, a 30/76(39%) in return points, as well as a 74/159(47%) in total points won.
