[2026 ATP 250 Fayez Sarofim Men's tennis] Today is the start of the quarterfinals for doubles with the first match of the date consisting of Rinky Hijikata (AUS) and Ryan Seggerman (USA) versus Santiago Gonzalez (MEX) and Fernando Romboli (BRZ). Winners of the match Rinky Hijikata and Ryan Seggerman earned a serve rating of 290, with four aces, and two double faults. Their first serve earned them a 43/59(73%) with a return rating of 116. Santiago Gonzalez and Fernando Romboli earned a serve rating of 271, with four aces, and three double faults.


This put both teams very close scoring wise with each other in terms of aces and double faults. Santiago Gonzalez and Fernando Romboli had a first serve of 43/65(66%) with a return rating of 123. The real difference in scoring could be seen in the point stats of both teams with Santiago Gonzalez and Fernando Romboli earning 42/65(65%) in service points won, with a 17/59(29%) when it came to return points won and rounded out the match with 59/124(48%) total points won. The final score was Rinky Hijikata and Ryan Segerman's 6-4-10 to Santiago Gonzalez and Fernando Romboli’s 4-6-7.

 

The second and final match of the day featured Brazilians Orlando luz and Rafael Matos and Americans Nathaniel Lammons and Jackson Withrow. This match would end with the Brazilians defeating the Americans on the court 6-4-10 to 3-6-3. Looking at the service stats, Nathaniel Lammons and Jackson Withrow acquired a serve rating of 267, with five aces, and 2 double faults. Their first serve stood at 37/58(64%) with a return rating of 148. Winners’ Orlando Luz and Rafael Matos in contrast, earned a serve rating of 331, with four aces, and one double fault. Their first serve stood at 38/49(78%) with a return rating of 164.


Looking at the point stats of both teams, Orlando Luz and Rafael Matos earn the following in terms of service, return, and total points won; 40/49(82%), 121/58(36%), and 61/107(57%) respectively.
