[2026 Bruce Bolt Classic UTSA Ohio] Today is the first day of the 2026 Bruce Bolt College Classic and the first game of the series starts with Ohio State vs. UTSA. With the sun out and the temperature at the right degree, today appears to be a great day for college baseball. The first inning of the game was nothing short of a great opener with Ohio scoring two runs at the top of the inning followed by UTSA scoring a run at the bottom of the inning. The second and third inning were dry with neither team scoring a run.

The same trend continued into the fourth inning, but it wouldn’t be until the fifth inning when Ohio scored a run. UTSA failed to score a run in the same inning but made a great comeback at the bottom of the sixth inning by scoring another two innings. Continuing that streak, UTSA scored another two runs in the seventh inning changing the tide of the game by leading as the score became three (Ohio), 5 UTSA. UTSA was able to secure another run in the bottom of the eighth inning, followed by Ohio scoring their first two runs from the fifth inning.

With the bottom of the ninth inning being tight in terms of UTSA being able to stay ahead of Ohio as the game ended with UTSA defeating Ohio 6-5.
