[2026 Bruce Bolt College Classic Baylor University University of Mississippi] The second match up for the 2026 Bruce Bolt College Classic here at Daikin Park consisted of Baylor University versus the University of Mississippi. Players from both teams took to the field with only one thing on their mind and that was winning. Of course, there can only be a winner and now, it seems as if both teams are having a hard time scoring runs. With the University of Mississippi scoring in the bottom of the first inning, after that it felt like both teams may have a difficult time making any real gains in the field.

In contrast, even though Baylor University failed to score a run in the first six innings, they did score three runs at the top of the seventh inning. Neither team was able to secure a run in the third and third innings even though they both demonstrated great skill on the field. In a breakthrough, the University of Mississippi was able to score two runs at the bottom of the fourth inning. After the University of Mississippi scored, despite the great weather the game seemed to have gone “cold” as neither team was able to score a run in the fifth and sixth innings.

It was the top of the seventh inning in which Baylor University broke that coldness by scoring three runs via homerun bringing the score to four (Baylor) to five (Mississippi). Baylor University scored a run in the eight innings while the University of Mississippi failed to secure a run. Striking again, Baylor University scored a run at the tip of the ninth inning and brought the score six (Baylor) to five (Mississippi). Baylor University defeats the University of Mississippi six to five.
