[2026 Bruce Bolt College Classic University of Texas Baylor University] This was the most anticipated game of the second day of the 2026 Bruce Bolt College Classic. University of Texas baseball fans backed Daikin Park, home of the world-famous Houston Astros, to watch their team slug it out on the field against Baylor University. With Baylor University failing to secure both a run and game momentum at the top of the first inning, it would be the University of Texas that would exploit that failure to their benefit. In doing so they were able to score three runs. A stalemate was formed in the second inning in which neither team scored a run. The third and fourth innings would be the last time both Baylor University and the University of Texas would score runs for the rest of the night.
In the bottom of the third inning the University of Texas was able to break the scoring stalemate between the teams by scoring two runs. However, Baylor University was able to essentially “hit back” by scoring their first two and only runs of the night. innings, fifth, sixth, seventh, and eight neither team was able to secure a run and the game ended at the end of the top of the ninth inning. The final score of the game stood at 5-2.
