[21 Savage R. Kelly I Wish] “What Happened To The Streets?” is a question that we are asking here at VEDA World News as we take a break from the world of geopolitics so that we can explore what’s happening in the world of entertainment, it was recently reported that rapper 21 Savage took the time out to sample “The King of R&B” R. Kelly for one of the latest tracks on his new album entitled: “What Happened To the Streets?”.
R. Kelly whose real name is Robert Slyvester Kelly is currently serving a 31-year sentence for multiple sex abuse allegations. 21 Savage's latest album consists of 14 tracks and was released last Friday and has caused controversy amongst fans. The 33-year-old rap artist the reason why he decided to both sample R. Kelly hit single under the same name “I Wish” and record the song was because he simply wanted to regretfully pay homage to fellow rap artist such as Nipsey Hussle, King Von, Young Dolph, and Takeoff amongst other artists.

It was also reported that his fans, now detractors, felt that by him choosing to sample R. Kelly for this song was a “dusty ass choice” and that it would “influence a younger generation to discover” R. Kelly.
OUT POSITION AT VEDA WORLD NEWS
Whether people Like R. Kelly or not (and we do), R. Kelly is one of the greatest musicians, composer, producer, song writer, and musical innovators of our time. In short, we are designating R. Kelly as a pure musical genius. Since his incarceration, there has been and still is a vacuum that has yet to be fulfilled within R&B and we highly doubt that any of the current artist can fill the void that he was forced to leave behind by what we are calling bullshit sexual abuse allegations that were forged against him for financial gain. Hence, when these women couldn’t obtain any money from him, they went to law enforcement who served on the behalf of these women as “revenge by proxy”.
No one has the right to erase history because they simply dislike something or someone for whatever reason. Not only has Cancel Culture weakened the social fabric of this country and allowed the socially inept to have a voice, but Cancel Culture is dead. That’s just the truth. Like it or not R. Kelly is and will forever be “The King of R&B”.
