While many people believe that age verification should be enforced on porn sites such as Pornhub, the distractors of America's age verification law believe that the law does nothing to stop minors from viewing porn. In fact, there's a growing number of porn enthusiasts that believe that porn sites would be one’s suffering because viewers of online pornography log on to sites for quick satisfaction and simply don’t want to bother with having to grab their wallets and show their state id to watch their favorite porn actors and actresses.
Currently, there are at least 25 states or half of the states in America requiring some form of age verification for their citizens to watch porn online and that number appears to be increasing in the future. Proponents of porn and the adult sex industry are pushing the notion the age verification law compromises viewers privacy. They are also taking the position that age verification laws do not protect minors from viewing porn; and there's a lot of truth to that. With the advent of the use of artificial intelligence in porn, now adults and minors alike can make anyone a porn actor or actress using applications that renders what are called “deep fakes” and “nudify apps”; and it can be done in a matter of minutes with no coding or film production skills required.
Deep fakes and nudify apps have been used by minors so much that schools around the world have become battlegrounds. Students, mostly males, are using deep fakes and nudify apps powered by Artificial Intelligence to generate pornographic content of not only female students but teachers and staff. So, it appears that age verification laws are becoming null and void just as fast as they came into existence. the question of “If adults and minors alike are using such applications for sexual gratification, then why are states opting in to activate age verification laws across the country?” Many can only guess that time will tell.
