BALLOON MUSEUM LANDS IN HOUSTON BRINGING AN IMMERSIVE ART EXPERIENCE

[Balloon Museum Houston] The internationally acclaimed Balloon Museum has officially opened its newest U.S. installation in Houston, welcoming visitors into an expansive world of inflatable art, light, sound, and interactive design. The exhibition, Pop Air – Art Is Inflatable, is now open at 2501 Commerce St. in East Downtown and will run through April 19, 2026.
The exhibit features a collection of large-scale immersive rooms created by 14 global artists and studios. Visitors can walk through glowing balloon landscapes, navigate towering inflatable sculptures, and experience projection mapping and sound installations that react to movement. According to the Balloon Museum website:
“We’re excited to bring this unique form of experiential art to Houston,” organizers said in a formal release. “Our goal is to inspire wonder, joy, and creativity for everyone who walks through the door."
Tickets for the Houston installation are now available online. Organizers encourage early booking due to anticipated high demand throughout the winter and spring seasons. Standard adult tickets begin at $39, with youth and child options available.
HOURS OF OPERATION
Monday–Thursday: 1 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Friday: 12 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Sunday: 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.
The Houston venue includes several installations not previously shown in other cities, making this one of the museum’s most anticipated stops. Alongside inflatable environments, guests can explore light-based rooms, sensory experiences, VR elements, and photography-friendly immersive sets.
