[Barbara Denson Texas State Board of Education] Speaking to Barbara Denson (R) was our opportunity to not only feel how passionate she was about running for the position of Texas Board of Education District 6, but it was our opportunity to observe how the brain of an Engineer works and addresses problems in real time. Granted we are not building rocket ships, but we are bearing witness to how an Engineer such as Barbara Denson would address socio-political problems within the Texas Board of Education.
Barbara Denson graduated from the University of Pittsburgh where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Engineering. While touching on her collegiate background she talked about how her college career played a vital role in shaping her current political thought. It should be noted that she the Author of the satire book entitled “Beneficial Accomplishments of Joe Biden”, as well as two environmental books for children entitled: “Gary the Go-Cart: Carbon Comes out of the Closet” and “Gary the Go-Cart: Wind Blows”.

Due to her Sparkling and highly engaging personality, we were able to gather that Barbara Denson held the position that there were too many Attorneys who are applying legal thought to social problems because they’ve failed to understand the importance of implementing science to address the social problems people, more specifically students are facing in today's times. Barbara Denson is not only focused on what types of books students should be using in the classroom, but she also focused on getting rid of what she calls “Bad Science” in Texas classrooms. She also made it a point that the Texas Board of Education is in the business of “Teaching children what to think and not how to think” as well as pointing out that it seems that the current leadership of the Texas Board of Education has “gotten rid of critical thinking and the scientific method” in Texas schools.

During this interview we talked about the pros and cons of the implementation of Artificial Intelligence in the learning process for students, how the vetting process of Texas classroom books and learning materials have been in essence “rubber stamped” instead of being carefully reviewed. Barbara Denson also made a point during the interview to inform us that actual Scientists should be reviewing the books and learning materials presented to students and not Teachers. We talked about home schooling and how to get students more involved in the learning process. We talked about how American students fare against their direct competitors like Chinese students. There was so much to unpack during this interview. Make sure you give this exclusive interview with Barbara Denson a good listen.
