[Brazil Trump Tariff] In response to American President Trump’s Reciprocal Tariffs, Brazil's President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva called for all BRICS member countries to unite to counteract the reciprocal traffic set forth by President Trump. President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva stated the following in regards all members of the BRICS bloc:

“I’m going to try to discuss with them about how each one is doing in this situation [and] what the implications are for each country so we can make a decision.”

He continued by asking the following question with a response:

“What bargaining power does a small Latin American country have against the United States? none.”

President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva has accused President Trump of attempting to "dismantle multilateralism” in order to promote “unilateralism”.

To date, President Trump has not only threatened and made plans to impose an additional 50% tariff on BRICS member India because India has vowed to continue purchasing Russian oil, thus defying the sanctions American and the collective west placed on Russia. These sanctions are set to take effect in the third week of August. In addition to that, President Trump has also placed 50% tariffs on Brazilian goods and products.

President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva is calling President Trump’s weaponization of sanctions to coerce countries to bow to the will of the United States as “illegal”.

OUR POSITION AT VEDA WORLD NEWS

It is clear that the actions of President Trump are nothing more than acts of desperation in which many geopolitical analysts perceive President Trump’s actions as a “Hail Mary” play in order to hold on to America’s last grip of power on a world that has recently transitioned into a multipolar world. With America's policy of people, the world's number one world's leading power, that agenda of power has become not only challenged but in many ways is being defeated play-by-play each day that the world turns. What validates our position is that President Trump was force to capitulate when it came to applying  Reciprocal Tariffs on China.

President Trump's Reciprocal Tariffs in conjunction with the additional 50% and 10% tariffs placed on BRICS nations is predicted to backfire by many the world over. With the dominance of the internet and other forms of digital technology being the number one vehicle and driver of commercial activities, data transference, and information sharing, the world has become even more interconnected than it has ever been before. In knowing and understanding this, for any country to not only impose, but to weaponize sanctions as a way to manipulate any other nation to bend to the sanctioning parties , is to sanction and isolate oneself from the global commerce, degraded geopolitical and diplomatic relations, as well as the international community.
