For the last game of the first day of the 2025 cactus jack college classic, this game takes the cake as the best game of the day. Texas Southern University vs. Southern University has brought out the competitive nature of both teams on the diamond. The first two innings of the game started off outstanding. With both teams tied by two points in the second inning Texas Southern University scored a run to break that tie; Southern University followed up in the second inning scoring 3 additional runs.
Things cooled off in the third inning and really got spaced out between the fourth through sixth innings; Southern University scoring their 6 run at the bottom of the fourth innings followed by neither team scoring a run in the fifth inning, and Southern University scoring another two ruins at the bottom of the sixth inning leaving a total score between the two teams 8 (Southern University) - 3 (Texas Southern University). During the seventh and eighth innings, neither team scored a run. The ninth inning was not played. The final score was Texas Southern University 3 –Southern University 8.
