In conducting this exclusive interview with 18^th Congressional District Republican Carmen Maria Montiel, we had the opportunity to engage in a deep dive discussion into her life, her campaign, and why she believes she is the best candidate to win this year's special election for the 18^th Congressional District. With all the military posturing and the talk of fighting a war against the trafficking of narcotics from Venezuela by the Trump Administration and being a native Venezuelan herself; this is what makes Carmen Maria Montiel unique as a political candidate for the 18^th Congressional District.

As a Venezuelan and U.S. Citizen, Carmen Maria Montiel has attested during this interview to the claims made by the Trump Administration about what's happening in Venezuela. She stated to us before the interview: "I've seen what happened in Venezuela back then with all of the illegal immigrants and all the drugs, and I'm seeing the same thing happening here in the United States”. When asked how or what made her enter the realm of politics, she pointed to the corruption she witnessed while having to deal with the criminal justice system for a non-criminal matter when she came to the United States. Carmen Maria Montiel expressed both her dissatisfaction and shock and awe that the criminal justice system here in the United States operated the way that it did back then and how it still operates with such a high level of corruption to this day.

“I want to make the United States safer for the children of tomorrow” stated Carmen Maria Montiel and when interviewing her we can honestly say that we felt that emanating from her during the interview. Beside illegal immigration and the combating of drugs, we also talked about why she feels she's the best candidate for the 18^th Congressional District and how she would solve many of the issues that unfortunately plague the 18^th Congressional District. Make no mistake about it, she’s unapologetically MAGA and she’s the  heart of a true Republican. From what we gathered from the interview, she believes America is the greatest country in the world and it should remain that.

This interview is highly interesting, insightful, and impactful as Carmen Maria Montiel is one of but a few republican candidates running for the 18^th Congressional District. During the interview, she expressed that she believes in taking a tough stance on crime and has no issues deporting immigrants that enter the United States illegally. Carmen Maria Montiel also believes in the power of tariffs and the acceleration of job growth and other programs designed to help bolster the U.S. economy.
