[CONCACAF Gold Cup Honduras El Salvador] Over the weekend a highly electric game was played between Honduras and El Salvador at the shell energy stadium as they faced off on the pitch to see who would advance to the next round of the CONCACAF Gold Cup. With the head-to-head record of the last five games played between the two teams prior to Saturday's game being fairly equal, it would be Honduras that would break the tie and advance to the next level of play. In doing so it made the new head-to-head record being Honduras having 2 wins, El Salvador having 1 win, with 2 draws between the two teams.
