[2026 ATP 250 Fayez Sarofim & Co Men’s Clay Court Championship] The first Singles match up of the day began with Adolfo Daniel (PAR) Vallejo versus Zachary Svajda (USA). While both players played exceptionally well on the court, it would be Adolfo Daneil that would take home the win. Scoring a serve rating of 311 with six Aces and zero Double Faults, he appeared to take the match by storm. His opponent Zachary Svajda, a strong player, managed to score a serve rating of 213, a 98-point difference, along with 1 Ace and zero Double Faults by the end of the match.


In terms of return stats Zachary Svajda was able to obtain 166 to Adolfo Daniel’s 202.  Looking at the net points won, it was easy to see why Adolfo was able to win this match as he scored 3/4(75%) of net points won, with 18 winners, and six unforced errors. In contrast, Zachary Svajda was able to score 2/6(33%) net points won, with 19 winners, and 24 unforced errors. Adolfo Daniel also scored 34/45(76%) in terms of service points won, 18/42(43%) return points won, and 52/87(50%) when it came to total points won. Zachary Svanda trailed behind with 24/42(57%) service points won, with 11/45(24%) return points won, and 35/87(40%) total points won.

 

The next match of the day pitted Jack Pinnington Jones (GBR) against Zhizhen Zhang (CHN). With Zhizhen Zhang defeating Jack Pinnington Jones, it serves as a great victory for not only Zhizhen Zhang, but for China as a whole. Starting with Jack Pinnington Jones, he earned a serve rating of 215, with three Aces, and three Double Faults. His return rating was 51. In terms of point stats, he earned 2/3(67%) net points with 13 winners, and 29 unforced errors. He additionally earned 22/42(52%) in service points won, with 11/44(52%) return points won, and 33/86(38%) total points won. Zhizhen Zhang, who played a game of precision, had a serve rating of 304, with 5 Aces, and zero Double Faults. His return rating stood at 237. Looking at the number of net points won, he scored 3/4(75%), with 12 winners, and 12 forced errors. Zhizhen Zhang was able to close out the match with 33/44(75%) service points won, with 20/42(48%) return points won, and 53/86(62%) total points won.

 

With Jenson Brooksby (USA) winning the championship last year, there was a lot expected of him on court today, and for many attendees who came to support him, they left the match with a bittersweet taste in their months as he was defeated by Mackenzie McDonald (USA). Despite playing a good game Jenson Brooksby was able to obtain a serve rating of 241, with 1 Ace, and zero Double Faults by the end of the match, he also had 61 return errors and scored 8/9(89%) when it came to net points won.


He also scored 20 winners and acquired 30 unforced errors. He rounded out his last match of the championship by scoring 34.61(56%) in terms of service points won, 18/60(30%) or return points won, and 52/121(43%) when it came to total points won. The winner of the match, Zhizhen Zhang, was able to earn a serve rating of 308, with one Ace, and zero Double Faults. His return rating stood at 194 and he scored 2/2(100%) in terms of net points won. Zhizhen Zhang also scored 15 winners and acquired 17 unforced errors. In terms of service, return, and total points won, he scored 42/60(70%),27/61(44%), and 69/121(57%) respectively.

 

At 2pm, Alex Bolt (AUS) faced Yibing Wu (CHN). With Alex Bolt winning the match, it can be said that Yibing Wu didn’t fall too short in terms of points scored during the match. Yibing Wu has a serve rating of 256, with five Aces, and three Double Faults for the match along with a return rating of 83. Alex Bolt in contrast had a serve rating of 288, with five Aces, and two Double Faults, and he had a return rating of 158. Looking at the net points won by Yibing Wu, he scored 6/7(86%), with 18 winners, and 34 unforced errors.


Point wise, he earned 36/57(63%) in service points won, 20/69(29%) in return points won, and 56/126(44%) in total points won. Alex Bolt was able to obtain a serve rating of 288, with five Aces, and two Double Faults. His return rating stood at 158. He also scored 3/4(75%) in net points won, with 14 winners, and 22 unforced errors. Looking at his service, return, and total points earned, he had 44/69(71%), 21/57(37%), and 70/126(56%) respectively.


For the last match of the day, it would be Colton Smith (USA) and Thiago Agustin Tirante (ARG). What many of those in attendance would call both a highly charged yet frustrating match, it was a match that kept spectators on the edge of their seats as it would be Thiago Agustin Tirante that came out victorious over Colton Smith. Colton Smith earned a serve rating of 204, with 2 Aces, and two Double Faults. His opponent, Thiago Agustin Tirante earned a serve rating of 316, with two Aces, and zero Double Faults. Thiago Agustin Tirante had a highly significant lead over Colton Smith when it came to return ratings as he scored 198 to Colton Smith’s 36.

 

The net points won for Colton Smith stood at 2/5(40%), with eight winners, and 23 unforced errors. Thiago Agustin Tirante earned a 6/7(86%) when it came to net points won, with 15 winners, and 15 forced errors. Thiago Agustin Tirante also took the lead when it came to service points, return points, and total points won having earned 32/39(82%), 24/49(49%), and 56/88(64%) in each category. Colton Smith earned 25/49(51%) when it came to service points, 7/39(18%) in terms of return points won, and 32/88(36%) in total points won.
