This past Saturday if you didn’t attend one of the most anticipated yearly fashion shows in Houston you simply missed out. It was a night filled with VIP’s and the who’s who in Houston Texas like Centrell Redd of Creed Global Media in the mix. The location was held in Downtown Houston at 1201 main street Houston Texas 77002 at a venue called “Greenstreet”. It was most definitely a night to remember. What was special about this event was that it paid tribute to Men’s Health Month. Men’s Health Month is held in June annually across the United States of America and addresses the vast and specific health issues that men across the country may face. From specific men’s health issues such as prostate cancer, diabetes and mental health, Men’s Health Month is a month that all men should not only celebrate but take the time out to take care of themselves.

The Fashion, Fitness, Swim Fashion Show, like last year's event, is a fast-paced fashion show that not only highlights Houston based Clothing Designers, but it is a fashion show that is sure to inspire other budding Fashion Designers in the Houston area and abroad. The crowd was exceptionally supportive of all the Clothing Designers and all the models that graced the runway Saturday night. Clothing garments from men’s suits to urban wear, fitness wear to women’s body shapers, women’s dresses and skirts, and of course everyone’s favorite: swimwear.

In general, all the clothing garments, except for a few, because of the nature of the garments, highlighted colorful designs that served as eye candy to the attending audience. The men’s suits were contemporary but appeared to be designed for the summertime. This is a great thing because if you know anything about Houston Texas, it’s typically hotter than hell in the summer. When we looked at the women's fashion garments presented in terms of dresses and skirts, they too, like the men’s suits, were designed with the hot temperatures of Houston Texas in mind. Light colors combined with a light fabric that naturally flowed as the models moved was the order of the day and will forever be during the summertime in Houston Texas.

But there was something that you don’t typically see in a fashion show and that’s female body shaping wear. To the casual observer these designs are considered simple, but to the well-trained eye, these Designers appeared to be designed exceptionally well. Moreover, the Designers of the women body shapers collection kept women’s comfort in mind. On the fitness fashion front, form fitting workout outfits comprise all the clothing garments and that’s a good thing. When people work out in the gym, they tend to like to look at the progress that they are making, so why not have them looking good in the mirror while they admire their body transformation goals. They’ve worked hard in the gym – they earned it.

The Urban Clothing Designers whose clothing garments that were featured in this year’s Fashion, Fitness, Swim Fashion Show can be considered typical for any Urban Clothing Designer. But the one urban clothing label that stood out to us was the “Diversity” clothing line. What we liked the most about the Diversity clothing label was that it features original designs. Lastly, the swimsuit collection. This is what everyone came for. Of course, the women that walked the runway in the latest swimwear designs were a marvel to look at, but in all honestly it was the men that stole the show. International male models like Emmanuel Dixon and Troy Steele appeared to have had the women in the audience in a trance-like state as they showed off the men’s swimwear garments from various Designers.

If you missed this year’s Fashion, Fitness, Swim Fashion Show, shame on you. But don’t fret, next year’s (2025) Fashion, Fitness, Swim Fashion Show will be even bigger, and better than this year’s (2024). Keep in mind that this year’s Fashion, Fitness, Swim Fashion Show was bigger than last year’s (2023) FFSFS, and last year’s show was an instant hit. So, with that said, we are looking forward to seeing you at next year’s Fashion, Fitness, Swim Fashion Show.
