GREAT EATS: MEZBAN RESTAURANT & CATERS HOUSTON TEXAS

[Mezban Restaurant and Caters] It’s been a while since we had the opportunity to dine at the Mezban Restaurant and Caters located at 6655 Harwin Drive #A108, Houston, TX 77036. What made this second trip to experience the best in Pakistani and Indian cuisine worth it was the fact that not only did the Mezban Restaurant update their menu items, but they allowed us to get a peek into their kitchen as Pakistani Cooks and Chefs prepared the dishes that we were privileged to taste yesterday.

We were provided with the opportunity to taste just about everything on their buffet menu which ranged from Chicken Tikka, Chicken Tikka Boti, traditional Tandoori Naan which comes with a butter and garlic option, Goat Basmati Rice, Chicken Corn Soup, Lahori Cholay, and house prepared extra crispy Pakistani chicken and fish. Of course, we seized the opportunity to taste the traditional dessert “Kheer” which contains almonds, is semi-sweet, and aromatic. It should be noted that the Mezban Restaurant has a salad bar.

Going into the kitchen, it’s safe to say that it was clean, well-organized and worthy of inspection at any time. The talented Cooks and Chefs at the Mezban Restaurant allowed us to peek into their tandoori cooking pots which were lined up in a row with each pot cooking something totally different from the next. But despite this the combined aroma that emanated from all of the tandoori cooking pots simultaneously blended well as it gently saturated our nostrils and watered our mouths in anticipation of tasting the greatness of Mezban Restaurant.

But there’s more, every Wednesday at 6pm, the Mezban Restaurant prepares a special buffet that highlights roughly 5-6 different kinds of Biryani cooked in its most traditional fashion; and as always what comes included with the special menu items that are prepared every Wednesday at 6pm are desserts and non-alcoholic drinks.
