[PALESTINIAN FESTIVAL ROLA ZARA OMAR OFFANDUM HOUSTON] Over the weekend thousands of Houstonians gathered at the 12th Annual Palestinian Festival at The Water Works at Buffalo Bayou Park to celebrate not only their Palestinian heritage and culture, but the spirit of the Palestinian people. This two-day event brought not only Houston residents together to celebrate, it also brought Palestinian food to the forefront, arts and crafts from various Palestinian vendors, media sources as well as cinema into Houston directly from Palestine. Both days were also filled with musical performances that featured Music Artists such as Al Ahrar Dabkeh Group, Tamer Nafar, Wantan Dabkeh Group, the Palestinian youth ensemble, Omar Offandum, and top musical talent from Palestine Rola Azar.
Despite all of the geopolitical rhetoric and Israel’s war of genocide on the people of Palestine, specifically Gaza, the large and robust Palestinian community within the city of Houston still manage to rise above everything and still have a great time by showing the world the beauty of their culture and how rich their heritage is on the world stage. The Palestinian Festival is more than the great Music Artist and food that was showcased this past weekend. The Palestinian Festival serves as a reminder to the entire world that no matter what evils persist in the world against, if you keep your faith in god, god will gift you with the power of resilience in the face of that evil, so that you can overcome it.
It is our pleasure at VEDA WORLD NEWS LLC. to say thank you to all the people of Palestine for showing us an example of how a light that can forever shine throughout the test of time.
