[Buffy The Fashion Slayerer Houston] Houston Music Artist, Houston native, and Alternative Rap sensation “Buffy The Fashion Slayer” just released his newest single entitled “VADER”. Besides the video being shot in Houston, Texas; we also like the fact that the track is dark and gritty as well as rhythmically hypnotic when played through a great set of speakers. We first met Buffy The Fashion Slayer at a local music event as he performed with Josh that featured only the best Music Artists in the city. While other Music Artists tend to solely rely on MPC’s and other means of digital sampling, Buffy The Fashion Slayer and his colleague Josh hit the stage with a live band.
We were able to speak very briefly with Buffy The Fashion Slayer, and during our conversation we asked him what inspired him to record this song and he stated: "I remember going to the movies when I was younger with my dad and the last film we saw was Star Wars 3. So I decided to pay tribute to my dad and everyone who loved going to movies when they were younger. Seeing the same movie theater my dad and I went to as an abandoned building served as a backdrop because of it's punk look and feel now. It [the building] almost looks like the “last of us” when it comes to [the] sensory [experience]".
A few months ago we had the opportunity to interview Buffy The Fashion Slayer along with the likes of Houston Music Artists 6ig 6oo (pronounced “Big Boo”) and Raven Skye. Buffy The Fashion Slayer being both fashionably eye-catching as well as being somewhat of an enigma in today's music industry especially here in Houston which is oversaturated with “Trap Rap” has proven himself to be not just a great Houston Music Artist but a great Music Artist in general to watch and listen to.
We also asked him what kind of people he makes music for, he stated: “For the people who are considered outsiders! Never letting the world stop them from what they love [as they] live their lives to the fullest”.
