Last week when the Trump Administration issued a warning to the rest of the world not to use Chinese manufactures Huawei’s advanced AI computer chips. China decided to push back by calling the actions of the Trump Administration not only a threat to global supply chains, but violation of international trade norms. While President Trump is pushing protectionist measures, China has been significantly bolstering the development and application of its own chips within the borders of China. In a successful effort, China is managing to wean itself off not only American Bonds, but American technologies, especially in the sector of advanced chip manufacturing.
Just in China alone, there are at least 1 billion consumers that are more than happy to utilize nearly all the AI chips that China can currently crank out. With China becoming less dependent on it’s American rival Nvidia for advanced chips, the country of China itself has become the primary “testing ground” for all aspects of its advanced chip making capabilities and applications. This means that just about everything that China manufacturers that relies on an advanced chip or not, will be subjected to having Chinese chips built into them by default.
This gives China the opportunity to conduct not only research and development in real time, but it also allows China to integrate advanced chips cheaper and faster than tech rivals like America ever could. Even though President Trump is promising to impose new tariff rates on American trading partners in the next two to three weeks, according to Chinese President Xi Jinping, engaging in protectionist measures will ultimately fail. While he's largely ignored by many political leaders in Washington, there is a growing world demographic that seems just about ripe for the taking when it comes to the exportation and adaptation of not only Chinese products and goods, but for the socio-technological advancements Chinese AI chip technology can bring.
by China expanding its reach by exporting its advance AI chips to countries such as North Korea, Brazil, Venezuela, Peru, Cuba, Russia, and the countries that make up the Sahel region of Africa all of which have either felt the lash in the form of draconian sanctions and/or have been largely neglected from western superpowers are waiting for the opportunity to import advance Chinese tech. like it or not, the world is getting smaller thanks to advance technologies. The question is what makes the Trump Administration think that they can reverse the course of an ever-shrinking world?
