[I Play Rocky] If you’re a fan of Sylvester Stallone and all the films that comprise the “Rocky” franchise, this film “I Play Rocky” will be nothing less than another fan favorite. Directed by Academy Award Winner Peter Farrelly who’s known for the film “Green Book”, Sylvester Stallone will be played by the ultra-talented Anthony Ippolito. While this film, I Play Rocky is not technically another installment of the Rocky series of films, it is can be considered a sort of autobiography/behind the scenes installment of the Rocky saga that provides fans with a never-before-seen glimpse into the life of Sylvester Stallone as he struggled just before and as he created the very first rocky film in the mid 1970’s.
Make no mistake about it, this film features a grizzly underdog storyline that is sure to open and inspire viewers across the nation. If you're wondering if and who will be playing the legendary rocky character “Apollo Creed”, we are happy to tell you that the character does make an appearance, and he will be played by Actor Stephan James. Actress Kiki Seto who is known for her role in the 2025 film entitled “The Studio” will play the role of Talia Shire once comprised “Adrean”, the lovey and highly dedicated wife of Rocky Balboa. It should be noted that Matt Dillon will be playing the role of Frank Stallon. What we love about this film simply by looking at the trailer is that Actor Anthony Ippolito who’s comprising the role of Rocky Balboa, has not only the looks but more importantly the swagger and voice of Rocky, originally created and self-portrayed characters by Sylvester Stallone.
According to IDBM (Internet Movie Database) I play Rocky is centered upon “Sylvester Stallone, then a failing Actor, writes the ultimate underdog story and must fight for his chance to play the role of lifetime – Rocky Balboa”. Written by Peter Gamble, I play Rocky is sure to be yet another fan favorite in the one of the greatest and revolutionary films of all time – Rocky. I am Rocky has a run time of 2 hours 8 minutes and is set to make its debut in theaters nationwide on November 6, 2026.
