INDIA VS. PAKISTAN: ANOTHER CASE OF "ENCOUNTER KILLING”

In a previous article we predicted that India would not do anything in terms of retaliating against Pakistan for the role India claims the Pakistan based terrorist group played in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam that killed over 25 people and wounded dozens more. It seems that the prediction that we made here at VEDA Communications has come true. Although the corporate news and various international media outlets has reported that the Indian military has executed “Operation Sindoor”. The word “Sindoor” is a word used to reference the red vermilion that Hindu women wear in their hair after they become married. Regardless of that fact, there is such a thing as working, running in place and going nowhere and this is exactly what the Indian military did in its retaliatory airstrike against Pakistan.

The aftermath of yesterday's retaliatory bombing on the Pakistani side of Kashmir  yielded nothing more than the collapse of several structures and the deaths of some eight Pakistani civilians and another forty-six Pakistani civilians injured. Out of nine “targets” if they can be called that out of 24 locations where struck, no military or terrorist camps were actually destroyed. However, Pakistan in response to the Indian military airstrikes were able to down five Indian jets, one drone, various Indian check post on the LOC (Line of Control), and an Indian brigade headquarters. All that was done  while another 3 or  4 Indian aircraft surprisingly crashed in India’s own airspace in the Jammu and Kashmir territories. Was it incompetence on India's part or were these plane crashes due to some kind of malfunction? There has been no word on that released to the Press at this current time.

It should be noted that the Pakistani strike also resulted in the killing of 10 Indians and the injuring of 48 in the Jammu and Kashmir region as well. Pakistan has vowed to respond to India’s “provocation”. While India holds the position that the government of Pakistan is incompetent and Pakistan views the government as outright stupid, people around the world who don’t possess any understanding of either country are perceived both as backwards and retarded. For other people that are familiar with the geopolitics of the area, they perceive the retaliatory actions of India especially as nothing more than what is known as an ”encounter killing” on a militaristic scale.

Encounter killings in both India and Pakistan occur when police set victims up to be shot, even though they would have otherwise surrendered or no shooting of the victim was needed at all. Even more than that, both India and Pakistan have a long record of engaging in what is known as “praying and spraying”, in which when they can “get” the bad guy they want, they simply spray bullets in that direction of the bad guy praying that they hit them. This seems like what India’s Operation Sindoor was akin to.

According to Pakistan, India linked Pakistan to the terrorist in the Pahalgam attack to Pakistan without any evidence to support its claim. Moreover, it was reported that Pakistan has denied being involved in terror attack and has also offered to aid Indian in it’s investigation, Major world powers such as the United States and China are using both sides to not only exercise restraint, but to seek out ways to de-escalate the tension between the two countries. Honestly, here at VEDA Communications we don’t see that happening anytime soon. But what we do know is that Pakistan may have an edge when it comes to engaging in warfighting more so than India.
