[Israel's new offensive into Gaza] Yesterday the state of Israel deployed an estimated 60,000 reservists with plans to add an additional 20,000 reservists to bolster their offensive in Gaza despite Hamas accepting a ceasefire and hostage deal proposed by Israel. with Israel amassing forces and increasing missile strikes in Gaza it has pushed many Gazans to flee the region. With votes passing by the Prime Minster Security Cabinet for the additional annexing of Gaza, it appears to have emboldened Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to embark on harsh measures against the people of Gaza. The ceasefire and hostage deal called for the release of 10 Israeli hostages and the release of 200 Palestinians. The deal also included that both sides honor a 60-day cease fire. Israel currently demands that all 50 hostages be released.
As both Hamas and Israel go back and forth in terms of negotiations and ceasefire talks, there is an increase of Gazans starving to death due to Israel manufactured famine. To date at least 271 Palestinians have died from starvation and of those 271, 112 were children. While the international community has expressed outrage over the actions of Israel, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appears to be deaf to the world’s outcry over his actions in Palestine. There has been reports of a growing number of IDF soldiers rejecting service request and, in some cases, fleeing Israel because they disagree with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s campaign of genocide.
With IDF soldiers becoming less motivated to serve, the IDF deploying undertrained soldiers, to IDF soldiers showing increasing signs of war fatigue, to an increase of IDF soldiers going AWOL to avoid having to serve; the IDF and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appear to have an uphill battle when it comes to executing his war plans without resistance internally. Keep in mind that the IDF purposely does not publish the number of IDF soldiers that have gone AWOL.
OUR POSITION AT VEDA WORLD NEWS
As we have expressed time and time again, Israel defeating Hamas is an impossible task and the reason for this is because the people who join Hamas are psychologically prepared to die for their cause. Failure to understand this logic was one of the biggest reasons why America failed to defeat the Taliban, ISIS, ISIL, and other designated Terrorist Organization during the 20 plus years war in Iraq and Afghanistan. Even more than that, the question should be asked: how long does Israel believe it can continue to go on in the fashion that it is without incurring either increased pressure and/or aggression and/or direct military intervention from the international community? Indeed, we predict that the blowback will be severe for Israel.
Another thing that Israel should be worried about is fighting a multi-prong war with other Muslim or Arab nations such as Yemen. To date there has been a country that has been able to fight a 2 or even less well-known 3 sided or more war. If this were to occur, it would not only break Israel, but it would financially break America who is Israel’s biggest ally.
