[Israel soldiers kill Palestinians Jenin west bank] Yesterday, a video surfaced that showed two Israel Defense Force (IDF) soldiers executing two Palestinian men who were surrendering in Jenin, located in the West Bank. 26-year-old Al-Muntasir Mahmoud Qassem Abdullah and 37-year-old Youssef Ali Youssef Asasa were the latest victims of Israel’s genocidal war on the people of Palestine. International human rights groups and The Palestinian Authority (PA) have since condemned the execution of the two men and stated to Press:

“A fully-fledged war crime and a flagrant violation of all international laws, conventions, norms, and humanitarian values.”

According to the IDF, Al-Muntasir Mahmoud Qassem Abdullah and Youssef Ali Youssef Asasa had two active arrest warrants due to them allegedly deploying explosives and shooting at IDF Forces and being affiliated with a “terrorist organization operating in Jenin”. An IDF spokesperson also stated that the IDF approved “surrender procedure” lasted some hours as Al-Muntasir Mahmoud Qassem Abdullah and Youssef Ali Youssef Asasa stood off against the IDF. Countering the IDF’s claims was cell phone footage that showed Al-Muntasir Mahmoud Qassem Abdullah and Youssef Ali Youssef Asasa with their hands above their heads and being shot by IDF soldiers even though they displayed no weapons or appeared to be a threat.

Soon after today's questionable shooting, Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir celebrated the execution on the Elon Musk’s social media platform “X” by stating: “I fully back the Border Police fighters and IDF soldiers who fired at wanted terrorists who came out of a building in Jenin. The fighters acted exactly as expected of them - terrorists must die!” This incident comes on the heels of the IDF’s recent military operation which started Wednesday and consisted of the IDF making several arrests and searching 220 locations throughout the West Bank to include the city of Tulkarem. Since Wednesday, a total of 23 buildings has been targeted by the IDF for demolition in Jenin.

Currently the shooting is being investigated by officials from both the IDF and the Israeli Police.
