RUSSIAN LT. GENERAL FANIL SAVAROV ASSASSINATED BY UKRAINE

[Lt. General Fanil Savarov Assassinated Ukraine] Today a car bomb killed 56-year-old Russian head of operational training Directorate of the Russian armed forces general staff Lt. General Fanil Savarov. According to Svetlana Petrenko who is the spokesperson for the Russian Investigative Committee:
“Investigators are pursuing numerous lines of inquiry regarding the murder. One of these is that the crime was orchestrated by Ukrainian intelligence services.”
This was followed by the statement:
“Investigators are pursuing various motives for the murder. One of the theories is that the crime was organized by Ukrainian special services.”
According to Russian officials, Ukraine is the most likely culprit of what they are calling an assassination. The bombing device was placed and attached underneath his car. President Vladimir Putin was "immediately notified” of the Lt. General's death as peace talks are being entertained by both the governments of Ukraine and Russia. The recent assassination of Lt. General Fanil Savarov appears to follow a series of assassination of top Russian military leaders and supporters.

Other Russian military leaders such as Lt. General Yaroslav Moskalik who was assassinated via car bomb in April 2025, Commander Stanislav Rzhitsky who was assassinated while jogging in 2023, Darya Dugina was assassinated via car bomb, Illia Kyva who was considered a traitor to Ukraine was assassinated near Moscow in 2023, Russian supporter Vladlen Tatarsky a military blogger was killed via bomb, Zakhar Prilpin a Russian Writer survived an attempted car bombing in 2023, and then there was Lt. General Igor Kirillov was killed by a bomb that was planted on a scooter outside his apartment building in 2014.
Despite Russia being highly suspicious of Ukraine behind this latest assassination, the Ukrainian authorities are remaining silent on the matter. It is predicted by geopolitical analysts that Russia will retaliate.
