PALESTINIAN-AMERICAN LOUI RIDI TRAVELS TO WEST BANK TO STOP ISRAELI SETTLERS FROM TAKING HIS FAMILY HOME

[LOUI RIDI PALESTINIAN AMERICAN ISRAELI SETTLERS WEST BANK] With an estimated 80,000 Palestinians killed this year by Israel long with another 87 Palestinians by Israeli Settlers combined with what many calling an illegal act of annexation of Palestinian land and houses by Israeli Settlers, there is one Palestinian American by the name of Loui Ridi from Toledo, Ohio that has found that his home in the Israeli occupied West Bank is currently attempting to be seized by Israeli Settlers while his 83-year-old mother has been trapped in their home for a week. It was reported that the Israeli Settlers cut the power and water off in the home. His brother Qusay and his nephew who have been defending the home provided camera footage of his home being targeted by Israeli Settlers and in the Palestinian village of Qusra. Currently to date his family has been defending the property.

While the Trump administration has openly condemned any kind of illegal seizure of homes owned by Palestinians by Israeli Settlers, it seems that the trump administration hasn’t placed enough political pressure on Israel to stop its Settlers from engaging in actions that it and the international community has openly condemned. While critics of the Trump administration have expressed public backlash, the government of Israel has publicly stated that it has deployed its military to “maintain order” between the people of Palestine and the Israeli Settlers.

Despite this, attacks and harassment are continuing to be projected by the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) towards Palestinians as Palestinians perpetually find their land, homes, and even their mosques destroyed. It has also been reported to fight back, Palestinians have killed at least three Israelis while defending their homes and land. Loui Ridi returned to Palestine today to join his family in defending their family home from Israeli settlers. Upon landing at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, he made the following statement to the Press:

“I’ve been watching this live for many days and now this is the second week. I can't. I can't let the settlers steal my house while I was watching.”
