[Oscar Gonzales Attorney Terry H. Peden police] It was a pleasure to have the opportunity to have both retired Harris County Sheriff Deputy Oscar Gonzales and Houston Attorney Terry H. Peden in front of our cameras as they instead of spreading division, came together to promote both the educational and practical real-world tips on what citizens should and shouldn’t do when interfacing or dealing with law-enforcement. As traffic stops combined with the endless number of laws on the books and polarizing perception of law enforcement, it can be exceptionally difficult for citizens to manage all of that and their emotions when they find themselves encountering a law-enforcement officer.
During the course of this four-part segment, Oscar Gonzales and Attorney Terry H. Penden also touched on sensitive topics that surround DUI's/DWI’s, breathalyzers and court order blood drawing, as well as window tint and something known as “SLABS” here in Texas. They also talked about the importance of citizens knowing and understanding their rights. This four-part segment is sure to be not only educational but somewhat entertaining as both law men take the timeout to enlighten the citizens of Texas and Americans around the country.
