[Precinct 16 Chair Karla West] It’s always a pleasure to have the opportunity to speak with politicians as we respect and admire all politicians no matter which side of the political aisle, they’re on; and Karla West, who is the Precinct 16 Chair, is of no exception. During this exclusive interview, Precinct 16 Chair Karla West spoke very passionately on a wide range of topics that included the plans of state Governor Greg Abbots (R) signing off on the passing of a bill to redistrict congressional lines ahead of the typical 10-year mark which keeps in step with the updating of demographics from the U.S. Census published data. We also touched on sensitive social issues such as abortion, the LGTQ community and her thoughts as an Ordained Minister.
We also talked about what inspired her to get into the realm of politics as well as Governor Greg abbots signing of the House Bill 1481, which prohibits students from the carrying of cell phones on school property. This is an interview that will not only give you an insight into the thoughts and positions of Precinct 16 Chair Karla West, but it will give you some insight into the state of Houston and State politics. This is a must watch.
