[President Donald Trump second year anniversary briefing] Yesterday President Trump addressed the nation on the anniversary of his second year in office for his second term. During his briefing he discussed American trade and commerce, various social issues that have been gripping the nation. Among other things President Trump addressed his administration's crackdown on illegal aliens as well as presenting his plans on border security. Another topic that was touched on was veterans and military service members. On the international front, President Trump also aggressively talked about the geopolitical climate in terms of America's international relationships with countries such as Europe.
From the perspective of Donald Trump, the application of tariffs on various counties seems to be working; however, many Americans and economic scholars tend to disagree with President Trump on this issue. Outside the subject of tariffs and the American economy, President Trump also touched on energy in the terms of tax-cuts and the opening of new energy production facilities and plants; American manufacturing was also on the table.
