At this very moment it appears that the people of Burkina Faso are more than fed up with the imperialist agenda of the Collective West, but they seem to have reached the point in which they are willing and ready to physically fight back. Yesterday the Military Junta led by Interim President of Burkina Faso Ibrahim Traore was able to foil an attempted coup led by pro-western allies within the Burkinabe Armed Forces via the Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast).
It was reported that the former commander of the Military Justice Battalion, Magistrate Commander Frédéric Ouédraogo and Captain Elysée Tassembedo, were arrested along with several other members of the military justice battalion. All of this comes in the wake of the suspicious shooting that killed Commander Ismaël Touhogobou. Which some are calling a murder and/or assassination during what a military prosecutor is calling an “arrest gone wrong”.
Since the success of the coup that the current Military Junta of Burkina Faso executed, there has been severe tension across the country and most notably with the military of Burkina Faso. Within the cross-country tensions, the anti-Collective West sentiment has been significantly growing. Since the latest foiled coup was successfully handled by Interim President Ibrahim Traore, he has both gained even more popularity and credibility with the people of Burkina Faso. This has caused thousands, if not millions of people to take to the streets of the capital of Burkina Faso, Ouagadougou to show their support for him while showing disdain for any and all western powers and their supporters.
One of the protestors spoke to an Associated Press Reporter and stated the following:
“It doesn’t surprise us that an American general lied because Colin Powell lied, Iraq was destroyed. Barack Obama lied; Gaddafi was killed. But this time their lies won't affect us. That’s why we tell them that we’re not against them, but we are against predation and economic slavery.”
Another protestor stated:
“Those who didn’t build Burkina Faso and who wanted to destroy it, we are here to tell them no, we do not agree. They should stay where they are and destroy where they are. But they shouldn't come and destroy Burkina Faso. We are happy with our president; we are happy with our president. We agree with everything that he does.
This comes on the heels of the words of the U.S. Marine Corps General Michael Langley who is a Black American who commands the U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) made the following claim against Interim President Ibrahim Traore:
"The president of Burkina Faso, Ibrahim Traore, is a threat to his people."
"He is using the country’s gold reserves for personal protection rather than for the benefit of its people."
This statement and more were met with the full frustration and anger of the people of Burkina Faso who strongly condemned what they call “hypocritical statements” made by general Michael Langley. It should be noted that President Ibrahim Traore has long given up his military salary to lead the country and the people of Burkina Faso. What’s even more disappointing is that it’s not only the people of Burkina Faso who feel this way, but many other people from around the world. If you find yourself asking why so many people both inside and outside of Burkina Faso support him, it's because he has demonstrated the strength and the ability to fight back against the Collective West and even more specifically American imperialism.
This statement is supported by the fact that interim President Ibrahim Traore has survived quite a few assassination attempts since the military coup he led took power over Burkina Faso. For the overwhelming majority of people in Burkina Faso, interim President Ibrahim Traore symbolizes hope and proof that not only Burkina Faso, but any nation can stand up against America and the Collective West – and do so proudly.
On top of that, it was also reported regard the vast gold mines and resources that Burkina Faso has, President Ibrahim Traore was looking for ways to not only stop the exportation of gold from Burkina Faso; but to find ways to refine that gold and new currency for Burkina Faso that would be backed by that gold. This would make the use of the French franc null and void in the country. While it's understood who wins when it comes to making changes in Burkina Faso, the question now becomes who stands to lose the most and the answer is France.
The former military officers that were arrested not only had ties to America and other members of the Collective West, but they were paid to spy and provide intelligence of the movements of Burkina Faso’s troops, military logistics, weapons, operations, security plans, and anything else that could be deemed of vital importance. The former military officers and personnel that were arrested have been replaced. Currently, America and the Collective West are seeking ways to counter President Ibrahim Traore’s current moves. It should be known that Russia sent the Spetsnaz to protect President Ibrahim Traore during these turbulent times.
