PRESIDENT MACRON VISIT'S PRESIDENT AHMAD AL-SHARAA IN SYRIA

[SYRIA MACRON AHMAD AL-SHARAA] In what many within the international community are calling a “desperate move to help France's national economic situation”, French President Emmanuel Macron flew to Damascus to meet with western backed and installed Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa former member of the Collective West declared Terrorist Organization known as Hayat Tahrir al-Sham which is linked to al-Qaida. Upon touching down in Damascus, President Macron was met by Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad as-Shibani. This visit by present macron to Syria comes after he pushed for both American and European leaders to grant sanction relief to Syria.
Under the guise of seeking to “build a new Syria” President Macron pitched the idea of boosting economic and commercial trading ties as well as establishing a memorandum of understanding between the two countries. With the people and infrastructure of Syria being devastated by the 13-year long war, President Ahmad al-Sharaa also appears to be eager to broker deals with countries like France to rein in funds to fix Syria's dire financial situation. While there have been deals made with other countries in terms of foreign investments and trade deals, none have seemed to take place at the moment.
With billions of dollars needed to rebuild Syria and bring it up to speed when it comes to meeting international standards, economics believe that President Ahmad al-Sharaa will be if he’s not cutting steep depths with deep financial incentive to entice foreign investors into investing into Syria. Despite this, foreign investors appear to be hesitant to go all in on Syria due to President Ahmad al-Sharaa's past with Hayat Tahrir al-Sham as a lead head chopper against western forces. With that being said, could it be that President Hayat Tahrir al-Sham is considered to be more of a paper weight than an actual head of state in the eyes of both foreign investors and other world leaders?
The jury is still out on that. Both President Macron and President Hayat Tahrir al-Sham are scheduled to appear at a Press conference after their close door talks.
