RUSSIA: BALZI ROSSI RESTAURANT TARGET OF TERRORIST BOMBING KILLS 3 WOUNDS 21 IN MOSCOW

[RUSSIA MOSCOW BALZI ROSSI BOMBING] An IED (Improvised Explosive Device) was detonated at a Russian restaurant in Central Russia which resulted in three people being killed and at least another 21 wounded. According to Russia's NAC (National Antiterrorism Committee) at 7:55pm the Italian restaurant Balzi Rossi located near Kudrinskaya Square was the target of a terrorist bombing on Saturday. It was reported that an unnamed woman attempted to carry the IED disguised as a gift into the restaurant but was stopped by a security officer. When the security officer denied her entry into the restaurant the IED was detonated and exploded. The IED was packed with ball bearings and one kilogram of TNT.
It was leaked that the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces and former Commander of Russia's Eastern Military District, General Aleksandr Chayko was supposably celebrating his 55th birthday party at the restaurant which was cut short by the terrorist bombing. It was also reported that His 25-year-old daughter Maria Chayko, was severely injured during the bombing and suffered a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). The blast from the explosion was heard for blocks as eyewitnesses stated they saw well-dressed men and women fleeing the restaurant covered in blood and debris.
Rosgvardia, Russia's National Guards Service was deployed and secured the perimeter of the scene as investigators and medical service personnel treated the wounded and evacuated those killed. At the current time, NAC have not released a motive for why the bombing occurred, but there are some people in Russia and the international community that speculate that Ukraine may have something to do with it. The reason for this speculation is due to General Aleksandr Chayko being on Ukraine’s sanctions list. Others within the international community believe that a western intelligence agency is responsible for it and deployed a proxy to commit the crime.
