[Russia firebombs Ukraine] While Americans were celebrating the fourth of July with fireworks, Russia was celebrating the predicted success of their counter-offensive against Ukraine by deploying a massive aerial assault package that resulted in them firebombing 550 aerial targets across Ukraine. Russia’s aerial campaign consisted of drones, hypersonic missiles, and long-range precision-based weapons. Russia targeted Ukrainian military assets in the city of Kiev and the regions of Sumy, Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk, and Chernigov. It should be noted that Russia deployed 330 drones.

With 23 people injured during Russia’s counter offensive, no lives were taken and thus Russia’s claim that it doesn’t attack civilians can be marked as true. Ukrainian military targets that were successfully destroyed by Russia included facilities that housed military equipment, “industrial enterprises” that manufacture drones, and other facilities which utilize robotics to the benefit of the Ukrainian military. Also targeted were a Ukrainian oil refinery and military airfield. There were also reports that warehouses, and several other buildings to include a repair facility were also struck during Russia’s bombing campaign.

This counter-offensive was launched by Russia in response to Ukraine’s previous use of terrorism tactics which resulted in them striking deep into Russia which caused damage to 1/3 of Russia’s fleet of bombers. The bombing carried out by Russia resulted in smoke so thick it was reported that Ukrainians had to wear masks. How long can Ukraine continue to resist the inevitable? The answer is uncertain, but as long as countries such as America, Israel, the United  Kingdom, and Germany continue to  supply weapons to Ukraine, the longer and longer Ukraine as a nation will suffer.
