[Russia rocks Ukraine with massive attack] As Russia's counter-offensive against Ukraine provocation continues, yesterday Russia launched an estimated 315 drones, five Iskander-K cruise missiles, and two KN-23 ballistic missiles making this the second biggest counter-offensive Russia has executed on Ukraine since last week. This latest action by Russia left extensive damage in several districts in Kiev and Odessa. Skyscrapers and commercial businesses, Artyom military plant and other defense companies, energy facilities, hospitals, homes and other civilian property, and warehouses were also targeted during Russia's counter-offensive and left 13 people wounded and at least two people killed. At least 20 major fires were reported in Ukraine.
The conflict between the nations has become polarized. This means that the vast majority of Ukraine want to see the war come to an end as most Russians wish for President Putin to escalate the counter-offensive to the point that Ukraine surrenders and the war comes to an end. However, with western countries such as Germany, Britain, and the United States perpetually resupplying Ukraine with weapons, intelligence, and funding, it adds nothing but fuel to the fire of chaos and destruction. Amid that, the civilian of neither side of the war struggle to see any kind of peace between Russian and Ukraine in the near or distant future.
While Russia, like most countries during times of war, states that they do not intentionally target civilians, civilians tend to find themselves as collateral damage during times of war and conflict. Vladmir Zelensky blamed not only Russia for the attack, but blamed America for not placing sufficient pressure on Russia to stop their counter-offensive measures. While President Putin has remained largely silent, Vladmir Zelensky has been vocal about his perspective on the conflict. Yesterday Vladmir Zelensky stated:
“It is important that the response to this and other similar Russian strikes is not the silence of the world, but concrete actions. Actions by America, which has the power to force Russia to peace.”
OUR POSITION AT VEDA COMMUNICATIONS
While Russia actions against Ukraine are justified, a war of attrition can prove to be not only too taxing but fatiguing on both Ukrainian and Russian civilians. Therefore, it would be best for Russia to devise a solution that can bring the war to an end sooner rather than later. However, it is considered that the Collective West continues to back Ukraine with weapons and funding. Actions like this do nothing but keep the war going. Would it be wise for Russia to not only engage Ukraine, but the western countries that support it? probably not, as it's not only extremely expensive for any country to fight a war on multiple fronts but will spark World War 3.
But maybe, despite world leaders shying away from world war, maybe a world war is something that is needed so that “geopolitical correction” can take place. War is destructive, but a necessary evil given how major world powers like America, Britain, Germany, France, and others operate. How long can western countries continue to back Ukraine until the clock stops ticking and what was once a regional war becomes a world war? no one knows as there are too many variables in play.
