[Russian Bombing Ukraine Kharkiv] Yesterday morning through the evening, Russia conducted a bifurcated round of a devastating strike on Ukraine. This latest round of retaliatory attacks occurred in the city of Kharkiv, Ukraine's second largest city. This retaliatory strike is a secondary response to Ukraine drone bombing that downed one-third of Russia's strategic bombers earlier this week. At least 40 explosions occurred within the city from the combination of Russian drones, aerial bombs, and missiles. There has been at least 60 people injured and 4 people killed.
Many people in Ukraine and around the world fear that this second counter-offensive by Russia is not the last to occur in Kharkiv or within Ukraine as a whole. It should be noted that Russia continued its bombing campaign in Kharkiv in the latter part of the evening which resulted in the killing of another two people and the injuring of an estimated 40 more. The mayor of Kharkiv called the latest Russian counter-offensive “an act of terror against peaceful Kharkiv”. But what the mayor of Kharkiv calls terrorism, Russia is calling high-precision strikes and that all targets that were selected were destroyed.
A large segment of the world's population is calling for an end to the Ukraine-Russian war, but with countries like Germany and Britain promising to continuing aiding Ukraine with weapons, technology, and intelligence, it seems as if President Putin has no other option but to continue conducting military action Ukraine until the message is made clear to both Ukraine and European countries and that message is Russia will never allow Ukraine to be a part of NATO and that Ukraine must understand that if it continues to allow itself to receive military from any country, it will perpetually keep itself open to Russian military response. Ukraine must also understand that if it allows the promotion of Neo-Nazism within its country it will also open itself up to Russian intervention as well.
