SAUDI ARABIA BOMB HOUTHIS: CIVILIANS KILLED IN YEMEN

[SAUDI ARABIA HOUTHIS BOMB YEMEN] The escalation between Ansuallah and Saudi Arabia continues to ramp up as Saudi Arabia executed air strikes in Yemen which resulted in the killing of over seven people and critically wounding an additional 40 people. Some reports state that 50 people were killed. In an effort to both retaliate and stop Ansuallah from continuing their advance in the region towards Riyadh. The Ansuallah Health Ministry calls the latest Saudi led four strikes in Yemen an "abominable crime that purposely targeted civilian sites” which were markets located in the Mawiya junction in the city of Taiz, Yemen. Yemen’s Al-Jawf province, as well as Khabb, Al-Sha'af Districts were also struck yesterday as well. If this is true, then the actions of Saudi Arabia could constitute an international war crime.
The reason for the Saudi led bombing was because Saudi Arabia perceived that a Ansuallah military training base was established near the Economic Corporation Market. With the Saudi Arabia executing 27 airstrikes within 24 hours, the bombings resulted in high collateral damage, The Yemeni government which openly rejects Ansuallah has called for what they call a general mobilization which they encouraged Yemenis to join the national military and joint security services. Saudi Arabia utilized American F-15 fighters to execute the deadly counter-attack. Ansuallah spokesperson Yahya Qasim Saree stated to the press that the "blood that was unjustly and aggressively shed in the Mawiyah market in Taiz province will have severe consequences for the Saudi perpetrator.”

This latest strike by Saudi Arabia will do nothing but serve as fuel for Ansuallah to continue ramping up their operations towards Saudi Arabia. The question that we are asking is how will the International Criminal Court (ICC) respond to the civilian kills during this round of Saudi led air strikes? Even more important, the question of “has Saudi Arabia learned anything from America's perpetually failed bombing campaigns against Ansuallah?” In short, aerial bombing against the Houthis simply doesn’t work. But neither the Americans nor Saudi Arabia appear to have the confidence to directly place boots on the ground in order to combat Ansuallah directly.
