[Venezuela oil tanker seizure ] Less than 10 hours ago, the American Coast Guard intercepted and seized an oil tanker that they say departed the Venezuelan coast and was carrying an oil shipment. The vessel named “The Centuries” was ambushed as it passed through a U.S. maritime blockade that many are calling “illegal”. This latest ship seizure would be the second ship seizure this month by the Americans. Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro Moros has condemned the seizure of oil tankers by the Americans by designating them as acts of “theft” and “kidnapping” within the high seas as he takes the positions that the Americans are in the business of stealing oil and natural resources from Venezuela.
President Nicolás Maduro also went on to say: “these acts will not go unpunished” and “other multilateral agencies and the governments of the world” will be informed via written complaint. Augmenting President Maduro, the Venezuelan government stated:
“The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela categorically denounces and rejects the theft and hijacking of another private vessel transporting Venezuelan oil, as well as the enforced disappearance of its crew, perpetrated by United States military personnel in international waters”

In rebuttal Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem stated:
“The United States will continue to pursue the illicit movement of sanctioned oil that is used to fund narco-terrorism in the region.” “We will find you, and we will stop you.”
It should be highlighted that The Centuries oil tanker has not been listed on the American list of sanctioned ships. Most politicians, economists, and legal scholars within the international community are openly condemning the actions of Americans in international waters calling their actions “an act of piracy”. The seizure of both ships come at a time where an estimated 100 people have been killed via missile strikes in international waters because they were suspected of trafficking narcotics to America. Although no proof of narcotics has been found nor has any vessel been boarded, the world watches in shock and awe regarding the actions of the Americas who recently are standing under the spotlight for its use of “Double Tap” combat measures when launching missiles at unsuspecting Venezuelan citizens in international waters
OUT POSITION AT VEDA WORLD NEWS
With no evidence of narcotics combined with the killing of nearly 90 plus Venezuelan citizens, it's safe to say that the actions of the Trump administration have opened Pandora's box, which allows other countries to take the same measures for their own quest of national security against other countries that they may not like. When it comes to the American seizure of oil vessels in international waters, the notion of anti-piracy laws can be thrown out the window as the actions of America have effectively opened the door for others to engage in the same practice.
Not only is heavy blowback expected, but the consequences of America's actions in international waters is putting the global economic system at risk, with oil being illegally taken out of the system, it very well forces the price of oil to jump. America's actions also bring detracting nations such as China, Iran, Russia, and North Korea closer together as they as a conglomerate will seek new ways to not only circumvent American sanctions and illegal confiscation practices, but it will force them to seek ways to divest and diversify their methods of conducting business transaction internationally.
