TRUMP BARKING UP THE WRONG TREE WITH IRAN

In recent weeks American President Donald Trump has been ramping up his talking points when it comes to “how America is going to deal with Iran”. Now it's gotten to the point that President Trump is threatening to bomb Iran. Geopolitical pundits from around the world are sounding the alarm regarding President Trump’s threats towards Iran as the blowback from such measures taken by President Trump will be exponential beyond measure.

President Trump's bomb of choice appears to be what is known as “Bunker Buster’s”. These are bombs that are dropped from a high altitude in order to adequately penetrate the ground, then detonate underground. For Iran, this can be considered problematic as Iran has recently unveiled its underground city of bombs; which has several buried in undisclosed locations through Iran and possibly elsewhere outside of the country. The U.S. and its threats to utilize Bunker Buster’s seems plausible at best, the question of whether or not America will deploy such mass casualty weapons is still up in the air.

For Iran, if America decides to deploy Bunker Buster’s, in order for them to be effective; they would have to be able to first located Iran’s underground city of bombs and if that happens the end result could be catastrophic as it would set off a chain reaction that could set off thousands of underground bombs and cause incalculable damage to the nation of Iran an cost tens of millions of lives. Of course for President Trump, such an outcome would mean the end of Iran as a western threat in the region; but the question of the day is, is this outcome worth the loss of tens of millions of Iranian lives.

For a President who ran on the campaign promises of “ending all wars” and “putting America first”; recent rhetoric from Trump seems to imply the opposite effect. The reason for this position, is because it's barely been three month (90 days) and President Trump has already failed to stop Israel from it’s continuation of the genocidal war against the people of Palestine, started a bombing campaign that has led to a war with Ansuallah (Houthis), and now it’s looking like a hot war with Iran is likely to take place if America decides to directly bomb Iran. Currently, Russia is strongly warning America against taking such actions, but will President Trump heed the warnings coming from Russia? The answer is most likely not, as President Trump suggested that America take a more hawkish stance on Russia.

Believe it or not, an Iranian retaliation on American soil is a real one given the fact that Iran has a missile system that can reach Mach 16. This would be devastating for the American homeland because the Americans currently do not have the technology to counter a missile threat like this coming from Iran. With President Trump giving Iran a two month ultimatum to comply with the wishes of America or be bombed. President Trump stated the following:

"If they don't make a deal, there will be bombing," he said. "It will be bombing the likes of which they have never seen before."

Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has currently rejected and such demand any from the Americans and stated:

“The enmity from the U.S. and Israel has always been there. They threaten to attack us, which we don’t think is very probable, but if they commit any mischief, they will surely receive a strong reciprocal blow,”

Like it or not, President Trump's inflammatory rhetoric threatens international peace, security, trade, socio-economics, and stability. Switching perspectives, maybe President Trump is using a “high-low” approach, where he leads with high demands in a deal but lowers the temperature by making strategic concessions as he negotiates with Iran. On the surface, President Trump's reasoning for wanting to bomb Iran is because of his position that Iran is trying to build a nuclear bomb. Whether it's true or not – no one knows.

But there's two things the world knows; first if Iran wants to build a nuclear weapon, they have the intelligence and the means to do so. Secondly, if Iran wishes to build a nuclear weapon, then they have every right to do so. However, Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has put a Fatwa on any building of a nuclear weapon. It should also be stated that in the last 20 years there hasn't been any indication that Iran has embarked on the building of any nuclear weapons – let alone attempted deploy one. so the question of the day is: “What is this really about?”. We’d love to hear your remarks below.
