[Trump Genesis Mission Executive Order] Yesterday American President Trump signed another Executive Order which accelerates the use of Artificial Intelligence for the finding of new scientific discoveries. The newest AI initiative is called the “Genesis Mission”.  The Genesis Mission allows the Department of Energy and other national labs to construct a dedicated integrated AI platform that will allow them to utilize supercomputers to advance scientific discoveries. When AI is combined with supercomputers, it will allow for analysis of data sets to compute within the STEM fields. The Genesis Mission will also allow the American government to work closely with private businesses to further advance and meet the objectives of the Genesis Mission. According to the Executive Order:

"This order launches the “Genesis Mission” as a dedicated, coordinated national effort to unleash a new age of AI‑accelerated innovation and discovery that can solve the most challenging problems of this century.  The Genesis Mission will build an integrated AI platform to harness Federal scientific datasets — the world’s largest collection of such datasets, developed over decades of Federal investments — to train scientific foundation models and create AI agents to test new hypotheses, automate research workflows, and accelerate scientific breakthroughs."

Everything from the discovery of a cure for diseases to how to better enhance national security, to advancing American energy dominance, and the testing of war game strategies and scenarios are looking to be addressed under this Executive Order for the Genesis Mission. Other sectors of importance are manufacturing, space exploration, biotechnology, semiconductors, microelectronics, applied materials, and quantum science. The biggest hurdle scientists of all industries are facing today is the amount of time needed and required to conduct research, testing, and the development of many of the experiments currently being studied. With the use of both AI and President Trump's newest Executive Order, scientists are seeking to change that. It was revealed that the Genesis Mission will start with supercomputers at all 17 of the Department of Energy’s laboratories with the goal of building more supercomputers to aid in the task of crunching all the data being fed to the integrated computer systems.

While the signing of President Trump's Executive Order concerning the putting AI at the forefront of discovering scientific breakthroughs, the Trump Administration is widely praised for its efforts in doing so. However, the praise of the Trump Administration is not without detractors. Some economists and political analysts are raising the question of where is the funding for the Genesis Mission going to come from?  On top of that, the question of how will the Genesis Mission positively or negatively impact HIPPA and other privacy laws? Will privacy laws in America need to be “modified” to aid the Genesis Mission in rendering the best data sets?

At the moment, federal scientific research from the Department of Energy will serve as the benchmark for all AI data input for the supercomputers that fall under the Genesis Mission. Mega companies like Nvidia and Oracle have also partnered with the Trump Administration under the guise of keeping America ahead of the AI race in a collaborative effort to contain China.

The big question that we are asking is not “Who’s going to pay for it?”, but “Does America have the necessary infrastructure to meet the demands of President Trump's newest Executive Order the Genesis Mission”? The stark answer to that question is “no". The reason for that boils back to the first and most important question: “Who’s going to pay for it?” With American consumers coming to their wits end when it comes to having to pay everyday bills, light rent and mortgage payments, combined with them barely having enough to buy groceries, it appears that President Trump Executive Order may be doomed to fail before the first brick for a data center is laid.

It should also be understood that for Artificial Intelligence to reach the level of productivity we all desire, it requires more power than what America can produce and maintain. Hence, even cheaper energy sources are needed as the first prerequisite to even consider taking the Trump Administration's Genesis Mission seriously. With the Trump Administration seeking ways to prevent states from creating and enforcing their own laws when it comes to regulating AI, it appears to be a hyper-taxing uphill battle for the Trump Administration in this regard. The inability for America to synchronize in harmony for the achievement of one common goal, in this case AI dominance, is precisely why China has not only the upper hand when it comes to deployment of AI but leads the international community in advancement and deployment of AI based models.

With Investors investing in AI, it is predicted by many geopolitical analysts and economists alike that an AI bubble is getting ready to burst. On top of that, the question must be asked: who benefits from the Trump Administration's newest Executive Order? Given the fact that President Trump has heavily invested in various Qatari and Saudi based AI tech firms, the red flag has seemed to be raised because of the suspension of back door deals executed for financial gain.
