[U.S. military aircraft crash South China Sea] Yesterday afternoon at roughly 2:45pm, in the South China Sea, an American F/A-18F Super Hornet fighter jet and an U.S. Navy MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter crashed into the sea during what military officials are calling a “routine operation”. In an official statement to the American Press, military officials stated that:
“All personnel involved are safe and in stable condition".
Although the cause of both aircraft crashing is unknown, American military officials have stated that the situation is currently under investigation. President Trump chimed in and stated that:
“They think it might be bad fuel. We’re gonna find out.”
It should also be known that the crashing of these two aircraft were two separate incidents on the same ship that occurred on the same day and the fourth such loss of American military aircraft this year. Previously this year two American F/A-18F Super Hornet fighter jets fell overboard due to the ship being forced to turn around because of Ansar Allah (Houthis) violent protest in the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea.
According to reports, not only did both aircraft crash into the South China Sea within 30 minutes of each other, The Chinese Foreign Ministry offered humanitarian assistance to the American fleet. This voluntary assistance comes as President Donald Trump is currently engaged in his diplomatic tour of Asia and possibly meeting with Chinese president Xi Jinping. This is the 4th such loss of aircraft falling overboard an U.S. aircraft carrier this year which comes out to an estimated $238 million loss to the American military.
