[America strikes Iran] With Qatar hosting negotiations talks between the Americans and Iranians, the American Military conducted what they called “self-defense strikes” in the southern region of Iran. The reason cited by the Americans is why they engaged in executing these strikes despite the current round of negotiations taking place and being fragile, according to Capt. Tim Hawkins of the U.S. CENTCOM (Central Command) “to protect our troops from threats posed by Iranian forces.” Some of the revealed targets included IRGC boats allegedly placing mines in the waters as well as IRGC missile launch sites”.

Geopolitical Analysts and political commentators are speculating that the latest actions of the American Military will most likely present a key challenge during negotiation talks between the two countries. While there is very little information revealed about the devastation and the cost of the strikes carried out by the American Military towards Iran, it is currently speculated that the damage absorbed by Iran from the American Military strikes seem to be minimal at best.  While the Trump Administration is hoping for something they call “meaningful” or there will be “no deal”, Iran in contrast has stated that the current war between the nations will end on their terms and not by the terms dictated by the Americans under the threat of a gun. While the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei has come out and stated that although Iran has “reached a conclusion on a large portion of the discussion topics. This does not mean that the signing of an agreement is imminent.”

One of the key topics that is heavily debated between both countries is the notion of Iran either giving up all its uranium to the Americans to be destroyed or for the Americans to destroy what quantities of uranium the Iranians have in their possession by military means. From the perspective of the Iranians, like that of the Russians, and now the South Koreans that the Americans cannot be trusted to keep it’s promises as the Americans have demonstrated time and time again that they are willing to renig on their promises when it suits them to do so.

With the Trump Administration taking a hardline approach on Iran when it comes to negotiations, the notion of peace between the two countries seem out of reach for the foreseeable future. As talks between the Americans and Iran have stalled, Iran’s statement to escalate the war beyond the region if the Americans were to execute an attack would ensure. The Trump Administration's previous moves regarding their joint war of aggression and choice in conjunction with Israel has wreaked havoc on the global oil and gas markets with secondary adverse effects trickling down to nearly every other industrial sector internationally.

Currently Iran has demonstrated the ability to project power and strength over the Strait of Hormuz, a strait that exports 20% of the world's oil has been the focus of attention since the start of the war. from the perspective of geopolitical analysts, the Trump Administration have not only over played it hand when it comes to waging it war towards Iran, but they have severely miscalculated the counter actions of Iran by relying on the combination of faulty intelligence and outright “bullheadedness” on the self-induced issues with Iran.

OUR POSITION AT VEDA WORLD NEWS

Iran should not entertain the notion of any kind of peace deal with the Americans, however, it should be understood that the continued closure of the Strait of Hormuz will continue to increase gas prices worldwide. If Iran continues to embark down this path of escalation with the Americans, it won't be long until they are seen as the “bad guys” and possibly losing whatever leverage they have over both the Americans and Israel. For the Trump Administration, it has been advised to discontinue its war of aggression and choice toward Iran, as it has been openly revealed that they simply do not have the firepower, nor the manpower to continue down such a path against Iran.

Whether president trump likes it or not, he desperately needs to either find or create an off ramp to demonstrate his willingness to end the war. The only thing that Iran must do is simply survive both Americans and the Israeli’s onslaught.
